Joyce Savric works hard trying to make ends meet, but she always finds time to help others. She is suffering from Ocular Melanoma and is in need of a host of surgeries for life-threatening health issues, including cataracts, herniated discs, and a knee replacement, but on Wednesday, July 17th, the Van Duzer Foundation and Joyce’s co-workers are coming together to have an evening to REJOYCE and share the gift of love and support with this kind woman who is always there for others. Come out. Share a hug. Eat dinner, donate blood, and REJOYCE! As always with a Van Duzer Foundation event, 100 percent of all the evening’s sales, including staff salaries and tips, will benefit the family. Also on hand for the evening’s festivities will be One Blood (formerly Florida’s Blood Centers), accepting donations of blood to help others who are struggling with illness. Each and every blood donation can save up to three lives, so volunteering is the highest form of volunteering, and it doesn’t cost a cent. For the past five years, the Van Duzer Foundation has found unique ways for everyone to positively impact the community and has raised and donated over $700,000 to St. Lucie County residents in need.
