Boarders Live Long will be Amsterdam's first international longboard festival, and will take place 21st of june at Amsterdam Roest. A festival representing all facets of the longboarding lifestyle; like art, healthy food, crazy tricks, a lot of steez and a banger of a party hosted by the crew of ABSNFC to wrap it up . Instead of the same old competitional atmosphere which causes most riders to either stress or black out and stop them from showing their full potential and unique style, there will be several jam sessions in which the riders can express there unique tricks and style in a more natural way. History. I use to longboard almost every day and was a permanent face of the Amsterdam longboard scene, still I felt that longboarding was more an hobby then anything else. When I got sponsored by Simple longboards and traveled around Europe the addiction began. I experienced how 4 wheels, 2 trucks and 1 board can take you to beautiful places, to skate with amazing people, with the same passion for longboarding. I recognised a repeating pattern within these people, they would be conscious about there environment, healthy but most of all passionate individiuals. When I injured my knee in a downhill accident in February while traveling I had to cut the trip short and come home. The doctors told me I would not be able to skate for at least 6 months. This was a huge blow, just when I found the path for my dream, longboarding. But even though I have to take a pause from riding, I can't take a break from my passion. That's why I'm organising this event, to share the longboarding lifestyle with others and give back to the community that gave me so much STOKE! Program June 20th, Friday night, City cruise, 19:00 Central station, Marnixbowl, Vondelpark, Cafe. What's a better way to experience Amsterdam then on your board. There will be a organised group cruise trough the hart of the city, over the canals and in-between the narrow streets to show the beauty Amsterdam has to offer. June 21th, afternoon 12:00 - 18:00 During the morning/afternoon there will be several jam session in which the judges will have the time to witness the unique styles and tricks of the riders in a natural way. Divided into men, women and youths. Music will be hosted by my dear friends of "Another Bulshit Night In Cleveland" . Further more there will be taste, healthy treats available by the selected food stance.
