FrontLeft returns with our rowdiest Line-up to date. Twaps: optional. Hellfish - (UK Hardcore, Industrial, Deathchant) The Nihilist - (Industrial, Speedcore, Hardware) Drokkr - (Bass, Industrial) Dr. Strange - (Doomcore, Terrorcore) Le Haine - (Breakcore, Gabber, Hardcore) Richie !Kaboogie - (Breakage, Doomwerk) Pedro - (Oldskool, Hardcore) Over 10 years have passed since the Deathchant founder has graced our shores with his chest-bursting style of hardcore. Blending breakneck 200bpm belters with Hip-Hop, Metal and whatever this unhinged fish can conceptualise. He has and continues to define the UK Hardcore sound and with the new Void system in Voodoo, it will be delivered with surging power and definition. Unbelievable support slots from the get go. As always FrontLeft selects the finest individuals pioneering the relative ruckus on the Island. No filler. Hellfish: An experimental hybrid project developed jointly by the English company ‘Bog Slag Killer Kartel’ and the Cantonease ‘Mwuitt Hwor Slukkus Department’ based in Balikpapan. Unfortunately for mankind a genetic mutation in its developmental stage caused the almost hideous disfigurementation, unnatural physical strength and freakish co-ordination capabilities. Unforgivably Hellfish escaped from his sedation unit in 1987. Claims since that he’s been practising the art of turntabalism and of links with various underground record labels remain to be proven. Most of the original scientific team express doubt that he could co-exist with the general public and more likely to be hiding in a cave somewhere in central Asia. Strong evidence has come to light linking the Hellfish subject with an underground hardcore record label. Allegedly founded in 1994, Deathchant Records is widely believed amongst international intelligence agencies to be a facade for a highly dangerous audio cleansing guerrilla movement hell bent on ridding the planet of the plague of sub standard mainstream dance music. Pete Waterman has reportedly to have personally placed a sixfigure bounty on the head of Hellfish, with or without his body. Numerous sightings of the outlawed organisation’s hideous king pin have lead investigators towards the view that the war on audio is now being fought from France. Given the countless hardcore events occurring weekly across the country, and the unwilling of the French authorities to act against this fiend, there seems little hope of an imminent end to this despicable audio assault. • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/DJ-Hellfish/157272957664527 • Partyflock: http://partyflock.nl/artist/1198:Hellfish • Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/artist/18471-Hellfish The Nihilist: The Nihilist is one of the monikers of Dublin-based producer and DJ Cathal O’Grady AKA “Crabby”, and his outlet for uncompromisingly dark and hard industrial electronica. Having started out spinning vinyl for long-standing Dublin promoters !Kaboogie back in 2007, The Nihilist has since then become notorious on the underground Dublin scene for his blisteringly heavy hardware live act, resulting in an ever-growing fan-base of hardcore devotees. The Nihilist has played alongside internationally-renowned electronic artists such as Alec Empire, The DJ Producer, Bong-Ra and Aaron Spectre, to name just a few, and headlined in his own right at many parties both in Ireland and abroad. Encompassing genres ranging from ambient, industrial techno and breakcore, to death metal, electro and acid, with a smattering of giallo and horror-movie samples added into the mix, his sound could perhaps be described as a dark, abstract sonic torrent that hurtles the listener towards a vision of some unknowable, dystopian future. In his own music you can hear him taking influences from a 20 year love affair with electronic music. More recently he has been taking the harder end of drum and bass, hardcore and industrial to his sets. This hard sound has seen him playing gigs in Berlin, London, Glasgow, and Dublin have seem him alongside the likes of End.user, N-Vitral, Monster X, Techdiff, and Babyshaker, to name a few… expect a bulldozer of a set form the Corkman. From 2006 up until 2009 he was running his own night of experimental electronic music for up coming bedroom producers. Three years ago Le Haine and some buddys started up Pressure, where he has honing his skill of Industrial Hardcore, Gabba and teeth grinding breakcore. He has played support with top DJ's and producers like Detest, Simon Underground, Djipe and Encrypter. Wild, unhinged and extremely hard that's what to expect Richie !K: Richie !K resurfaces with a kickback to the Rathlin days, banging out a heavy set for people. Original founder of the notorious !Kaboogie nights, this man has brought the underbelly of electronic music to Dublin for 10 years strong. During this decade the !Kaboogie nights and family grew and became the crucial fix Dublin's underground needed. To say this fella knows his tunes is a grave understatement, expect anything from his horde of belters. Pedro: For Pedro the oldskool hardcore sound has never stopped ringing in his ears. His catalogue of bangers will define the roots of that heavy sound that influenced so many styles, raves and artists for over 20 years and counting. This is a very rare outting on the 1s and 2s for this geezer, make plenty sure you do not miss it.
