Wycombe MAG are very pleased to be hosting the 2012 MAG UK AGC. The Conference will be held on Saturday 14th April and Wycombe MAG has secured a unique venue at the Chiltern Park Aerodrome in Oxfordshire. The Aerodrome is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with fantastic rides on winding country roads leading to the site. With the help of the other MAG groups in the Thames Valley Region, Wycombe MAG will be turning the Conference into a weekend long event. Starting on Friday 13th April at lunchtime, campers are welcome to arrive and set up their tents and there is ample free camping on the airfield. In the evening we will have live bands performing in the Hanger and there will be a bar, hot food and stalls available. On Saturday the Conference will be open for all MAG members to attend and a free lunch will be provided. It’s a chance to meet and debate with the people who run our organization, from the Board of Directors to the National Committee members. Proceeds from the weekend will be split between the fighting fund and our nominated charity, the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance. The helicopter will be based out of the Airfield on the Saturday so that anyone who would like to can take a closer look, or chat with the pilots and paramedics about the wonderful work they do on our behalf. On Saturday evening, an invitation to unwind after a day of debate and decision making as Wycombe MAG bring their unmissable, one night biker party ‘The Dirty Donkey’ to the Conference. With only a £5 entrance fee there will be fantastic bands and a first class Burlesque Show in the Hanger, (over 18’s only). MAG hope that all of the new MAG Groups that have started this year will come to the Conference and help decide how they want MAG to work for them next year. And as the 2012 Conference is in the South it’s easily accessible for many of the groups who’ve not been able to make the trip in previous years. So put it in your diaries, come along and make a weekend of it. More details to follow as we get them and tickets for sale online for Dirty Donkey soon...
