Smith Memorial Student Union, Ballroom (355) Panel 6:30-8:30, Talk-back/breakout groups 8:30-9:30 **FREE CHILDCARE, rsvp via message ASAP** Esteemed Palestinian intellectual and activist OMAR BARGHOUTI is on his long-awaited US tour! Barghouti is a cofounder of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement - an international call to boycott Israel until Palestinian demands for liberation and return are met by the occupying power. In striking parallel to the dynamics of occupation and resource control enacted by the Israeli state against Palestinians, here in North America indigenous peoples are waging an ongoing fight against environmental destruction and land dispossession. SUPER is proud to host the following panelists who will converse with Omar on themes of comparative settler colonialism, land theft, racism, incarceration, indigenous resistance, cross-movement international solidarity, and visions for transcendent liberation.
