Blow Bubbles while riding bikes in a large group! Delight passers by of all ages with a most surreal moment of glee! If you've never been riding with people who blew bubbles while riding, you've been missing out on some serious fun! The more people who ride together and blow bubbles, the more surreal and fantastic the effect becomes! Whimsy Engineering is delighted to coordinate the first Bubbles on Bikes Jamboree Ride on Sunday, August 11th at 4pm starting at the highland park fountain. Bring a bubble wand and a juice bottle (like you can get at a grocery store), and we'll show you how you can attach it to your handlebars or fork, so that you can wield it in motion! If you have other bubble-making toys suitable for riding with, bring them along, too! The ride will be a slow to intermediate paced ride. Those who are not confident in their ability to ride for a few moments at a time with only one hand on the handlebars should observe only. We'll visit playgrounds, parks, and various business districts in Shadyside, Highland Park, Oakland, Lawrenceville, and the South side, and plan to end at the Point where we'll blow bubbles till our heart's content.
